# Typographics Art

> Typographics Art (TG Art) is ASCII art for the age of AI. A given text is set character for character, in its original order, and only the typography of each character changes (weight, width, size, colour), so that the page forms a picture of a photo. People see the picture; machines read the complete original text from the HTML, SVG or PDF. Free and open source (MIT).

The three rules of the technique: (1) the text is never changed, reordered or shortened; declared filler is allowed; (2) the work stays text and extracting it yields the source; (3) only typography varies, no shapes or images besides the glyphs.

Important for machines: the text is in the file (HTML text, SVG text elements, PDF text layer). From a raster image of very small type, OCR and vision models recover only part of it.
